By partnering strategically, The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) and Fanatics Betting & Gaming will launch a new sportsbook, adding cutting-edge options to the state’s sports betting market.
As the tenth retail sportsbook to grace Connecticut’s expanding industry, the opening of the new sportsbook at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport represents a significant milestone. The facility, which is more than 2,300 square feet in size, has cutting-edge self-service betting kiosks and a café to improve the betting experience for fans.
Connecticut bettors can seamlessly access the Fanatics Sportsbook app, unlocking additional perks across the 10 retail locations statewide. From the XL Center in Hartford to Bobby Vs in Stamford and Windsor Locks, sports enthusiasts can indulge in a comprehensive betting experience tailored to their preferences.
The CLC reported impressive figures, with players winning over $1.1 billion in prize money during FY2023 alone. Notably, the CLC’s contributions to the state’s General Fund have surpassed $12 billion since its inception in 1972. The partnership with Fanatics Betting & Gaming, initiated in December 2023, underscores a commitment to driving innovation and revenue growth in the sports betting arena.
Regarding the partnership, Greg Smith, President & CEO of CLC, affirmed his faith in Fanatics’ abilities by saying, “Fanatics is the only true sports brand in the gaming space that has established itself as an innovator in the industry.” This alliance is the coming together of vision and experience, with the potential to completely transform the sports betting consumer experience in Connecticut.
Notable has been Fanatics’ deliberate entry into the North American market; in February alone, the company launched in New York, Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan. As a challenger brand supported by strong support and innovation, Fanatics Betting & Gaming uses this joint venture to carve out a niche and maintain its position as a leader in the regulated US market.
