Stake has added Mexico to its Latin America plans through Stake.mx, a new online casino and sports betting platform tied to a license agreement with Uno Capali.
The launch puts Stake under oversight from the Secretary of Government, SEGOB, and gives the operator access to one of the region’s key sports betting markets before the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Good to Know
The timing is hard to miss. The 2026 World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19 across North America, with Mexico joining the United States and Canada as host countries.
Mexico will stage games in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey. The opener between Mexico and South Africa will take place at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, giving Stake.mx a high-profile sports calendar from day one.
Stake director Jarrod Febbraio linked the launch to both sport and long-term growth. He said:
“Mexico is an important and exciting market for us – one that combines strong underlying growth with a deep cultural connection to sport, which aligns perfectly with what Stake is built for. We’ve built significant momentum across Latin America in recent years, including in markets such as Peru and Colombia, and Mexico represents a natural next step given its scale and long-term potential.”
Stake.mx will carry the operator’s regular online casino and sports betting products. However, the Mexico platform will also focus on upgraded technology and mobile-first use, aiming at players who bet and play mainly through phones.
The Uno Capali agreement also keeps the launch inside the local licensing structure. For Stake, Mexico adds another regulated Latin American market at a time when World Cup betting demand should bring more attention to sports betting operators across the region.
Stake.mx is the Mexico version of Stake, offering online casino games and sports betting through a license agreement with Uno Capali.
Stake.mx will operate under oversight from the Secretary of Government, known as SEGOB, through the Uno Capali arrangement.
The launch comes before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, when Mexico will host 13 matches and draw strong local interest in football betting.
Stake already has a presence in Colombia, Peru, and Brazil.
