Paddy Power has returned as the title sponsor of Racing Post’s “Good Morning Racing” live and daily festival preview show, thanks to a renewed and expanded partnership with Spotlight Sports Group (SSG), a world-leading technology, content, and media company.
Paddy Power will sponsor 15 morning shows in total, including every day of the Cheltenham Festival, the Grand National festival, and Royal Ascot. The new agreement will allow audiences to get insights from experts on the ground and leaders in the world of racing, as SSG’s mobile studio will film and stream live on-location.
The 2023 Cheltenham Festival shows will feature Racing Post’s David Jennings and Paul Kealy, along with Mick Fitzgerald, Kate Tracey, Jerry McGrath, and representatives from Paddy Power throughout the week. As part of the campaign, Paddy Power is giving away up to £150,000 in cash on Tuesday in its “Finders Keepers” campaign. The promotion involves dropping £5,000 into randomised active accounts, and punters have up to 15 minutes to claim their prize. The Good Morning Racing series had impressive engagement numbers upon its launch last year and will be streamed live across Racing Post and Paddy Power channels.
“Our daily and live Good Morning Racing shows are an essential part of our digital coverage surrounding racing festivals, and this partnership extension with Paddy Power will help take the shows to the next level,” said Sam Houlding, Spotlight Sports Group’s chief commercial officer.
A Paddy Power spokesperson added:
“We’d like to think we bring to Good Morning Racing what Piers Morgan brought to Good Morning Britain, informative insights with unexpected outbursts. We’re looking forward to saddling up for another wild ride with the team this year. Our £150k Finders Keepers giveaway will cost less than the breakfast tab.”
