Sportradar has introduced a new AI-powered responsible gambling tool in Brazil as part of a wider plan to expand its global reach. The tool, called Bettor Sense, is designed to detect early signs of risky gambling behavior and deliver personalized interventions to protect players.
Good To Know
Bettor Sense uses behavioral research combined with proprietary algorithms to help licensed operators identify at-risk players in real time. According to Sportradar, the tool gives operators a way to act early, improving user protection and meeting strict compliance standards in regulated markets.
Tom Mace, Sportradar’s Senior Vice President of Integrity and Regulatory Services, called the launch an industry milestone. “BETesporte’s integration of Bettor Sense reflects a broader shift toward using data and AI for responsible gaming and regulatory excellence,” he said.
Brazilian operator BETesporte became the first company to launch Bettor Sense, marking a major step for Sportradar’s presence in the fast-growing market. BETesporte has also joined the Sportradar Integrity Exchange, a global platform that allows operators to share information on suspicious betting activity.
Online sports betting officially launched in Brazil on January 1, 2025, and the market has grown rapidly. The timing of Bettor Sense’s rollout aligns with growing regulatory scrutiny and rising consumer demand for safer betting environments.
Sportradar also signed a new Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT) with Brazil’s Ministry of Sports to strengthen the fight against match-fixing. The agreement includes real-time data sharing through Sportradar’s Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) and integrity-focused training for government staff.
The company now works with the Ministry of Finance, state authorities, and several national sports federations in Brazil. Andre Fufuca, Brazil’s Minister of Sport, said the collaboration marks a key moment for sports integrity and transparency in the country.
