Potawatomi Casino Hotel is stepping up its game with plans to introduce a mobile app, enriching its sports betting offerings following the recent debut of its permanent retail sportsbook. The forthcoming app will empower visitors to place bets conveniently from anywhere within the premises.
In a bid to enhance customer experience, Potawatomi CEO Dominic Ortiz revealed plans for the development of an on-premise mobile sports betting app during the grand opening event of the sportsbook. Ortiz expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting the app’s potential to revolutionize the betting landscape within the casino.
“We’re excited, it’ll bring a new flavor when you come to the casino,” Ortiz stated. “If you don’t want to go wait in line and put your bet in on the kiosk, you could sit right here and place prop bets, enjoy your meal, food, drink and entertainment.”
The app, set to be launched in approximately eight months, will be geofenced to the casino building, adhering to the Forest County Potawatomi’s sports betting compact with the state. Ortiz emphasized the industry trend towards mobile options, asserting Potawatomi’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve.
“That’s what’s happening in the industry and we want to stay ahead of it,” he said.
The new retail sportsbook, positioned as the largest in the Midwest, boasts a capacity to accommodate 200 seats and is inspired by the allure of Las Vegas-style venues. Its inauguration in early May marked a significant milestone following the casino’s extensive $190 million renovation.
Replacing the 500-seat Northern Lights Theater and the Fire Pit Sports Bar & Grill, the sportsbook’s design epitomizes sophistication, featuring a professional broadcast booth equipped with cutting-edge audio and video capabilities. With a combined capacity exceeding 400 individuals across its two floors, the venue promises an immersive and dynamic betting environment.
The unveiling ceremony, orchestrated by the Forest County Potawatomi, signified the dawn of a new era in sports betting for Milwaukee, according to casino officials.
