pawaTech, the sportsbook provider behind the betPawa brand operating in 17 African countries, has officially joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA). The partnership brings pawaTech’s data into IBIA’s global alert and monitoring system, reinforcing its focus on fair play and fraud prevention.
Good to know
Through this partnership, betting data from pawaTech’s sportsbook trading will now feed into IBIA’s international monitoring network. The system oversees suspicious betting activity across more than 140 licensed brands and is a core part of IBIA’s efforts to protect sports and betting markets.
Juri Sidorenko, CEO of pawaTech, said the company’s decision to join IBIA reflects its long-term priorities. “Joining IBIA reflects our commitment to fair play, integrity and safer betting. We are proud to support a trusted ecosystem that makes betting more secure, transparent and player-friendly across Africa.”
IBIA welcomed the new member as a valuable addition, especially given pawaTech’s reach across African markets. The association, which works with regulators, sports bodies, and betting operators, considers regional expertise essential to detecting and acting on integrity issues.
“We are thrilled to welcome pawaTech to IBIA,” said Khalid Ali, CEO of the organization. “The company’s unique African operational footprint and technology infrastructure bring valuable regional market knowledge and monitoring coverage to our association. This partnership further strengthens our global network and supports our shared goal of protecting the integrity of sport and regulated betting markets.”
