Midnite continues building momentum in the UK betting space, this time by adding Alex Henderson as its new Vice President of Compliance. The move strengthens the fast-growing sportsbook and casino operator’s internal operations as it pushes ahead with recent growth and high-profile partnerships.
Henderson brings with him years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, and operational risk within the gambling industry. His background includes working with major operators, government bodies, and advisory groups, giving him a strong mix of practical and regulatory insight.
Good to know
Midnite has been expanding steadily, with Henderson’s arrival coming shortly after the appointments of Zach Amin as VP of Sportsbook and Andrew Mook as Head of Brand Marketing—both of whom came over from Flutter. The company is clearly putting experienced leadership in place as it works toward long-term stability and brand trust.

Henderson shared his enthusiasm about joining the team, saying:
“I’m genuinely excited to be joining Midnite at such an exciting time in our growth story. Everyone I’ve met so far has been welcoming and clearly driven by a real passion for what they’re building. There’s a strong sense of ambition matched by a real commitment to doing things right.”
His new role will focus on making sure Midnite stays compliant with UK regulations, while also improving internal operations and continuing the company’s focus on safer gambling. Under its UK licence, Midnite has been working to raise standards both in terms of technology and player experience.
Founded by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu, the company first launched its sportsbook in 2018 after having previously built Dribble, a daily fantasy platform in partnership with Sky Bet. Since then, Midnite has made big strides—including securing £7.7 million in funding earlier this year to support growth.
The company also landed sponsorship deals with the World Snooker Championship, Sheffield United Football Club, and Southampton Football Club—part of a wider push to build brand visibility and tap into major UK fan bases.
Co-founder Nick Wright underlined the importance of this latest hire, stating:
“We’re building Midnite to be the most exciting betting brand in the UK but also the most trusted and that means taking compliance seriously. Alex brings heavyweight experience and the mindset we value – sharp, pragmatic and unafraid to raise the bar. His appointment is in keeping the standards we expect and the culture we’re creating.”
