MGM Resorts and the New York Yankees have partnered again with the goal of providing baseball fans with exclusive VIP experiences. Exclusive benefits are promised by the partnership to MGM Rewards members and fans alike, such as the chance to take part in ceremonial first pitches at Yankee Stadium and observe batting practice up close.
Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM Resorts, stressed the company’s commitment to improving fan experiences and investing in the community when announcing the alliance.
“We are committed to enriching community engagement and teaming up with the New York Yankees to provide unmatched experiences for baseball aficionados,” Hornbuckle stated.
MGM Resorts, known for its ownership of Empire City Casino and Yonkers Raceway over the past five years, views this partnership as integral to its strategy of maximizing the potential of these properties. Hornbuckle highlighted ongoing efforts to secure a full commercial casino license at Empire City, promising enhanced hospitality synonymous with the MGM Resorts brand.
As part of the collaboration, MGM Resorts will feature prominently at Yankee Stadium, with brand placements on LED signage, rotational signage at first and third bases, and visibility on the pitcher’s mound during local television broadcasts of select games.
Michael Tusiani, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at the New York Yankees, expressed enthusiasm about the joint venture.
“We’re thrilled to partner with MGM Resorts this season, enhancing fan experiences through prominent branding within Yankee Stadium and integrated television broadcasts,” Tusiani remarked.
Looking ahead, MGM Resorts’ Empire City Casino plans to host various fan-oriented activities themed around the New York Yankees. These events will involve current Major League Baseball (MLB) players and alumni, further cementing the partnership’s commitment to enriching fan engagement both on and off the field.
