Kansas City Royals now have an in-state sports betting partner after several weeks without one. The MLB team confirmed a new agreement that reconnects the club with Missouri sports wagering following the launch of legal betting in the state.
Good to Know
Kansas City Royals announced a partnership with Circa Sports, a Las Vegas-based sportsbook operator that received one of Missouri two untethered sports betting licenses last year. The agreement gives the team a Missouri-licensed betting partner after a short gap following the statewide launch of legal wagering on Dec. 1.
The partnership replaces a previous arrangement with Underdog. That operator aligned with Kansas City Royals in late 2025 but exited Missouri days before sports betting began. Underdog ended its agreement with the team as part of a broader pullback and later shut down its North Carolina sportsbook in December.
Circa Sports now takes over as the official betting partner connected to the club.
“Since launching Circa Sports in Missouri last December, we’ve grown to appreciate the local sports community – and the Kansas City Royals are at the heart of it,” Derek Stevens, Circa Sports CEO, said. “This partnership is about creating premium experiences around the game – from the ballpark to the sportsbook – and giving Royals fans access, energy, and a level of engagement that feels authentic to how they follow baseball.”
Under the deal, Circa Sports branding will appear at Kauffman Stadium. The partners also plan promotions tied to the baseball season, along with fan experiences and what both sides described as VIP hospitality moments connected to games and special events.
Circa Sports will make its first official appearance with the team at Royals Rally Casino Night on Friday. The event will take place at Kauffman Stadium. During the promotion, Circa plans to give away ten prize packages that include two-night stays at its Las Vegas casino property.
Team leadership framed the agreement around fan access rather than betting mechanics. Cullen Maxey, president of business operations for the Kansas City Royals, said:
“We all know the passion Royals fans have for their team, and this partnership with Circa Sports offers more ways for them to connect with the game they love. From special events at Kauffman Stadium to unique experiences beyond the ballpark, we’re excited to work with Circa to bring new ways for fans to connect with the Royals.”
The timing closes a brief but visible gap created when Underdog exited Missouri shortly before wagering began. Kansas City Royals were left without a local sportsbook partner while other teams entered the market at launch.
