A new data arrangement between Kalshi and CNN has been outlined in a recent Axios report. The agreement gives CNN direct access to Kalshi probability feeds for use across television, digital channels, and social platforms. The integration is designed to support real-time reporting with continuously updated event-contract data.
Good to Know
CNN plans to route Kalshi data into its broadcast tools and digital displays through a dedicated API. Anchors and analysts will be able to reference updated probabilities tied to elections, economic developments, and major news cycles. The network also intends to use the feed across its streaming services.
Tarek Mansour, CEO and co-founder of Kalshi, described the data feed approach in the Axios interview. He said:
“Authoritative source for real-time probabilities.”
He added that probability data can support coverage that focuses on near-term outcomes instead of only reviewing past events.
CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten played a central part in shaping the integration. His background in quantitative reporting aligned naturally with Kalshi structure, giving the network confidence that the dataset can be incorporated into both live broadcasts and on-demand content.
Kalshi chose not to charge CNN for access to the feed. Instead, both parties agreed that exclusivity paired with CNN audience reach would support broader understanding of event-based forecasting. Many viewers still have limited exposure to prediction market data, and the partnership is structured to change that.
Legal uncertainty around event contracts continues in several states, but Kalshi expects that more visibility through CNN may help clarify how regulated forecasting platforms operate.
