Michigan recorded a new change in its online betting framework after regulators authorized Hard Rock Bet as the internet gaming and sports wagering provider for the Hannahville Indian Community. The approval fulfills the state requirement that every digital operator maintain a formal link with a licensed land casino.

Regulators granted Hard Rock Bet authority to manage online casino play and sports betting for the Hannahville Indian Community, which oversees Island Resort and Casino in Harris. The tribe needed a new digital operator after 888 VHL vacated the market, following an earlier transition from SI Sportsbook.
The Michigan Gaming Control Board confirmed that Hard Rock Bet may begin offering online sports wagering without delay. Executive director Henry Williams noted the importance of regulatory safeguards. He said:
