FanDuel started teasing the new in-app tool on Sunday under the name “Pass The Leg,” designed for bettors who like to build parlays with friends instead of handling everything alone. The idea fits the holiday atmosphere, where football, food, and group chats often blend into one long discussion about player props.

How Group Build Works on Thanksgiving

Users will be able to start or join a “Group Build” directly inside the sportsbook app. Every participant can propose legs for a shared parlay, ranging from three to as many as 25 selections. Once the group locks in its final version, each member adds it to a personal bet slip and stakes whatever amount feels right, using individual funds.

No pooled bankrolls here, and no shared balances either, keeping everything simple and fully aligned with personal wagering controls.

FanDuel sees rising interest in features that feel more social and encourage people to interact while betting. As part of the launch, the company plans a profit boost tied to the Thanksgiving slate, adding an extra spark for fans tuning into the three NFL games.

Holiday wagering trends also point to heavier player-prop activity. With three football games on the schedule, FanDuel picked Thanksgiving as a strong test environment before considering expansion of the feature for other high-volume wagering days.

The three NFL Thanksgiving Day match-ups and their opening bookmaker odds are:

1. Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions (1:00 p m ET) — the Lions opened as ~ 3-point favorites, with the Packers around +135 moneyline and Detroit around -160.
2. Kansas City Chiefs at Dallas Cowboys (4:30 p m ET) — Chiefs opened near -190 moneyline, Cowboys around +160, with a spread of Chiefs -4.
3. Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens (8:20 p ET) — Ravens opened as favorites by about -10.5, Bengals plus ~5.5 underdogs.
