Everton Keeps Stake Deal With Sleeve Sponsorship

Share

Everton will keep Stake on its shirts after the Premier League front-of-shirt gambling sponsor ban begins in the 2026/27 season. A new multi-year agreement transfers the Stake logo to the sleeve.

Good to Know

  • Stake has backed Everton as Main Partner for four seasons.
  • Premier League clubs must remove gambling brands from shirt fronts from 2026/27.
  • Sleeve logos, stadium advertising and digital sponsorship remain permitted under the league agreement.

Everton Reworks Stake Sponsorship

Rather than ending the commercial relationship, Everton has adapted it to fit the incoming rules. Stake will become Official Sleeve Partner for both the men and women teams from August 2026.

Branding will also continue across matchday content, digital channels, Finch Farm, Goodison Park and Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Andrew Middleton, Everton President of Business Operations, said:

“Stake has been a major supporter of Everton over the past four seasons and this agreement reflects both the strength of our relationship and the continued growth of Everton’s commercial partnership portfolio.

“It also provides continuity with a partner that understands the Club, our supporters and the global reach of Everton Football Club. As we continue to build commercial momentum, this agreement demonstrates the value partners see in Everton, our new stadium and the direction of the Club. We are pleased to see our relationship with Stake evolve and look forward to continuing to work together across the coming seasons.”

The arrangement shows how betting companies can retain Premier League visibility despite losing the most valuable shirt position. Sleeve partnerships and stadium branding remain available, although UK authorities have also raised questions about sponsorship involving gambling operators that do not directly serve British customers.

Stake Chief Marketing Officer Akhil Sarin said: “We look forward to building on the partnership as Official Sleeve Partner and to continuing to work with Everton to deliver engaging content, experiences and activations for fans.”

Previous campaigns have included supporter giveaways, UFC content, international ambassador appearances, F1 simulator activity and matchday experiences. Stake also donated warm-up shirt space to Her Game Too for a Merseyside derby campaign against sexism in football.

Founded in 2017, Stake runs an online sportsbook and casino and holds partnerships across UFC, cricket, esports, X Games and Street League Skateboarding.
