As part of its efforts to increase access to education, tools, and resources throughout the United States, DraftKings is reaffirming its commitment to responsible gaming (RG) by renewing its State Council Funding Program and initiating a nationwide awareness campaign, both of which were announced during Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
Lori Kalani, Chief Responsible Gaming Officer at DraftKings, emphasized the company’s dedication to RG efforts. “At DraftKings, Responsible Gaming is fundamental to our mission, and we are committed to making tools, resources, and education available to all our players to help them play responsibly,” she said.
The State Council Funding Program, established in 2022, has already contributed over $2 million to problem gambling councils connected with the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG). In 2025, DraftKings will distribute more than $500,000 to 34 state councils, including those in states where it does not operate. Initiatives like training programs and educational campaigns are supported by this money, which helps groups like the Maryland Council on Problem Gambling and the California Council on Problem Gambling.
The My Stat Sheet tool, which offers individualized gaming information, is also celebrating its first anniversary on DraftKings. This tool, which was introduced in 2024, lets users keep track of their wagers, deposits, and platform usage. DraftKings claims that about 50% of their player base has used My Stat Sheet, which assists them in making wise choices regarding their gaming preferences.
DraftKings has invested more than $10 million on a national RG-focused advertising campaign to help encourage responsible play. The initiative, which was created with the NFL and NBA providing branding assistance, attempts to reach a wider audience and spread the word about responsible gaming.
