Sports betting operator Dazn Bet has officially launched in Germany following its licensing approval in August. Dazn Bet, a product of the collaboration between Dazn and Pragmatic Solutions, made its debut on the German sports betting scene after being added to the country’s white list of licensed operators.
Germany established the white list in response to the Fourth State Treaty on Gambling (GlüNeuRStv), which was enacted in July 2021. This treaty also led to the creation of Germany’s gambling regulator, Gemeinsamen Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL).
Gabriel Vollmann, Managing Director of Dazn Bet for the DACH region, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing a unique sports betting experience. He stated, “Dazn Bet is an offer to Dazn users and people interested in sports betting to immerse themselves in a new kind of sports experience. The close cooperation with the German authorities and the brand partnership with Dazn reflect our commitment to being a safe provider in a regulated market where the player’s enjoyment is at the center.”
In addition to offering sports betting services, Dazn Bet will prioritize player safety by providing resources for responsible gambling. This will include problem gambling detection technology and self-regulation tools to promote responsible betting behavior.
Dazn Bet is set to feature on Dazn’s platform starting in mid-September. Pragmatic Solutions, with its igaming player account management (PAM) platform, plays a vital role in powering this expansion. This launch in Germany marks the third collaborative effort between Dazn and Pragmatic Solutions, following successful launches in the UK and Spain.
