Circa Sports has officially planted its flag in Kentucky with the grand opening of its new sportsbook at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs. The celebration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Owner and CEO Derek Stevens alongside Mint Gaming Hall Co-Managing Partner Marc Falcone.
Good to know
The new sportsbook features more than 5,100 square feet of betting space.
Fans can enjoy an 80-foot LED screen, 31-foot odds board, and a live broadcast studio.
The venue already had a soft launch on July 23 ahead of the official opening.
Falcone expressed his excitement about bringing Circa Sports into the state:
“This transcends any experience today in Kentucky from a sports-betting perspective. We made a commitment to build a first-class facility here with Circa Sports. And after spending a lot of time with Derek and his facility in Las Vegas, we thought it was a good match not only for our mutual partnership but for them coming into the state of Kentucky. This will be, by far, the best place to watch and bet any live sporting event in Kentucky and Tennessee.”
The sportsbook isn’t just about placing bets—it’s designed to deliver a Las Vegas-style viewing and wagering experience. The 80-foot LED viewing wall, paired with a 31-foot odds board, ensures that every visitor can follow games and real-time betting lines with ease. Add in five betting stations and a dedicated broadcast studio, and the venue is geared for both serious bettors and casual fans.
Circa Sports CEO Derek Stevens highlighted the importance of the milestone:
“Today marks an incredible milestone for Circa Sports Kentucky. We are grateful to our partners at The Mint and former Representative Koenig on their important roles in getting us to the opening. We know the state of Kentucky is passionate about sports, and whether you’ve an avid bettor or a passionate fan, this will be the ultimate viewing destination.”
