FanDuel is bringing a fresh twist to Super Bowl Sunday with a unique competition between football legends Peyton and Eli Manning. These two-time Super Bowl champions will step into a completely new role as kickers during the next installment of FanDuel’s “Kick of Destiny.” The event, set to take place at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, will be a live showdown where the brothers aim for victory using their legs instead of their arms.
The live kicking challenge, scheduled during the FOX Super Bowl Pregame Show at 3 p.m. ET, will feature both Mannings attempting 25-yard field goals. If neither secures a win in the first round, additional attempts will follow. After three rounds, if the score remains tied, the kicker who lands closest to the center target on the net will be declared the winner.
Through the FanDuel Sportsbook app, fans can participate by making a free pick on which Manning they think will win. Eligible users who choose correctly will split a $10 million prize in Bonus Bets, adding an interactive layer to the game day excitement.
FanDuel Executive Vice President of Marketing, Andrew Sneyd, highlighted the event’s growing popularity. “With the Kick of Destiny, we’ve made FanDuel part of Super Bowl Sunday. This year, we’re upping the ante by introducing a rivalry between Peyton and Eli. For the first time in Super Bowl history, they’ll compete head-to-head live. May the best Manning win!”
Eli Manning expressed confidence in his chances. “The Kick of Destiny has become a Super Bowl tradition, and I feel great about my shot to win. I’m excited to celebrate with everyone who picks me to beat Peyton.”
Peyton Manning, equally determined, shared his thoughts on the rivalry. “Eli and I have always been competitive. This is a fun way to challenge each other in a new way. I’ve been studying kickers and training hard to bring home the win for everyone who backs me.”
Fans tuning into the Super Bowl will also see the outcome featured in two TV spots during the game. These ads will showcase the results of the contest, highlighting whether Team Peyton or Team Eli claimed victory, and celebrating the fans who won Bonus Bets.
