Domenation, a fresh take on the Battle Royale genre, has launched in Early Access. Developed by Blackmouth Games, this third-person shooter is available on Steam, Ultra, Elixir Games, and HyperPlay. Set in a futuristic world, players face off against each other and hostile creatures called Mutants on a massive, visually stunning island.
Domenation introduces a new dynamic with its “Domes” and “Pulse” mechanics. Instead of the traditional shrinking play area, players must seek shelter in energy shields known as Domes. These Domes appear periodically around the map, protecting players from the Pulse, a deadly event occurring every few minutes. With each round, fewer Domes remain, forcing players into intense combat points until the final showdown in a single Dome.
Matches in Domenation support up to 42 players, though the Early Access build currently supports 28 players in single-player mode. Each game lasts 12 minutes, perfect for quick, intense gameplay sessions. Players can freely explore the map, hunt for loot, and battle AI-controlled enemies for rare items.
Players can personalize their characters with various skins and chips to enhance gameplay. The map is filled with loot chests containing weapons, grenades, shields, and health packs. Higher rarity items provide better stats but are harder to find. Strategic use of these items is essential to outlast opponents.
Blackmouth Games focuses on community involvement, aiming to include user-generated content and evolve the game based on player feedback. This approach ensures Domenation remains dynamic and relevant, offering fresh content and new challenges.
While full Play-to-Earn (P2E) mechanics are not yet live, Domenation plans to launch a single-token system with $DOMEN as the utility game token. Players can earn $DOMEN through various activities, including standard and competitive game modes, completing challenges, and joining tournaments. The token can be used to obtain NFTs, enhance player experiences, and provide exclusive perks.
Domenation offers players a chance to participate in a free NFT mint raffle on Premint.
