Laguna Games and Crypto Unicorns DAO Announce Closure of Unicorn Party

Share

The Crypto Unicorns franchise-based gaming series Unicorn Party has come to an end, as announced by Laguna Games and the Crypto Unicorns DAO. Unicorn Party simplified its gameplay and reward structures in an effort to appeal to a wider audience.

Along with a number of games like Bumpercorns, Mob Run, and Unicorn Trivia, Unicorn Party also offered real-money betting choices. But as part of the closure, these titles will no longer be accessible. The choice to close Unicorn Party is a result of a tactical change. These days, developers are focusing on making fresh, light-hearted internet and mobile applications that emphasize competitive betting elements.

Challenges arose in scaling these new mobile and browser games. The developers found it difficult to promote these games effectively without substantial marketing efforts. Consequently, the decision was made to streamline operations and focus on the flagship game, Crypto Unicorns.

Positive Developments for Crypto Unicorns

On a positive note, Crypto Unicorns has seen a revival since its migration from Polygon to the Xai network. This move has rejuvenated interest and engagement in the flagship game. The developer is also planning to migrate Rainbow Rumble, a casual browser game similar to Fall Guys, to the Xai network soon.

The transition to Xai has provided a fresh boost for Crypto Unicorns, positioning it well for future growth. Laguna Games and Crypto Unicorns DAO are confident that this pivot will enhance their ability to develop and support new gaming experiences.
