Laguna Games, known for its blockchain game ‘Crypto Unicorns’, is making a significant move by transferring its game and related NFT titles from Polygon to Arbitrum’s gaming network, Xai. This decision comes shortly after Xai’s successful launch of its XAI token airdrop.
The Xai gaming network, powered by Arbitrum, welcomed this addition following their recent XAI token initiative. The airdrop aimed to reward those who run Sentry Nodes for the network, specific NFT owners, and participants in a Binance launchpool campaign.
Crypto Unicorns, a project by Laguna Games founded in 2021, boasts a diverse ecosystem. It includes a primary land-based building and battling game, along with jousting and party games as spin-offs. To date, these NFTs have generated a trading volume of around $35 million.
While there is no fixed timeline for the migration, Laguna Games is pushing to complete the process as soon as possible. They are coordinating closely with Ex Populus, a game studio that collaborates with both the Xai Foundation and Arbitrum’s developer, Offchain Labs. Ex Populus will also extend marketing support to Laguna, effectively acting as a publisher.
