July 2025 turned out to be a packed month for GUNZ and its flagship game Off The Grid. From launching on Steam to expanding onto Solana, the ecosystem kept growing across gameplay, DeFi, and user engagement.
Good to know
The biggest moment came on July 26, when Off The Grid landed on Steam. PC gamers now have full access to jetpack-based combat, modular cyberlimb looting, and squad-focused PvP matches—all playable on Teardrop Island. That release led to a rapid spike in users and added momentum to GUNZ’s economy, as more players started trading items through the network.
Meanwhile, GUNZ made a major move by bridging the $GUN token to Solana. With that integration, wallets like Phantom and Solflare now support GUN, and liquidity pools opened up on Orca, Kamino, and Jupiter. Kamino’s campaign alone is giving out $400,000 worth of token rewards over three months. Solana’s presence also showed up in-game, with the Solana Content Pack becoming one of July’s most traded cosmetics.
OpenSea also joined the mix. Phase 1 of the GUNZ rollout went live, allowing players to buy and sell OTG gear like the Tacoma Gun, which fetched 55,000 GUN. Marketplace volume reached $1 million in just 24 hours. Validator NFTs are expected to follow soon, pushing GUNZ even closer to a fully open trading system.
Beyond DeFi and trading, player activity stayed high. Although total GUNZ transactions dipped slightly from June, overall marketplace volume more than doubled to 27.8 million GUN. Listings also rose, and decoding activity hit nearly 1 million items.
On the legal side, Gunzilla’s VASP license is almost complete. Once approved, it will allow players to buy tokens or in-game assets using fiat options like credit cards or PayPal. It also unlocks the final phase of GUNZ’s blockchain migration from testnet to mainnet. Full regulatory compliance in the Cayman Islands is expected soon.
Meanwhile, the OTG Companion App crossed 500K users. It helps players manage gear, squads, and chat while away from their machines—an essential tool for the fast-growing community.
Looking into August, GUNZ plans to roll out a Kill-to-Upgrade mode, revamp the HUD and social interface, and upgrade loadout drones. A new Cyberlimb Drop is also coming soon, although the details remain under wraps.
More additions are on the roadmap too, including ranked Solo Battle Royale, trio ladders, and narrative-style missions.
