Esports Charts is jumping back into the Counter-Strike spotlight—this time as the official analytics partner for StarLadder’s upcoming Budapest Major 2025. For StarLadder, it’s a return to major CS events after a few years away. For Esports Charts, it’s a chance to track the numbers behind one of the biggest tournaments of the year.
Good to know
StarLadder and Esports Charts have teamed up again, and this time it’s for one of the biggest events in the Counter-Strike calendar. The Budapest Major 2025 is set to bring together the world’s top CS2 squads, with 32 teams battling for $1.25 million and bragging rights over three weeks in Hungary.
Esports Charts will track everything from peak viewership to audience behavior, offering live data to tournament organizers, teams, fans, and sponsors. It’s not the first time the two have worked together, but both companies say this project has a bit more weight behind it.
“We are thrilled and proud to provide viewership analytics for StarLadder for the Budapest Major 2025,” said Artyom Odintsov, Co-founder and CEO of Esports Charts. “Since both Esports Charts and StarLadder are Ukraine-born companies, we share similar values and deal with similar challenges, which brings us even closer.”
Odintsov added:
“It’s genuinely exciting to follow how viewership will develop at this Major. But knowing the expertise, drive, and passion that the organizers are bringing, I have no doubt we’ll witness some incredible things happen in Budapest.”
StarLadder has been running events since 2011, including some of Counter-Strike’s most watched tournaments. Its last Major, the 2019 StarLadder Berlin Major, reached more than 44 million hours watched—still one of the most viewed in CS history. Their popular StarSeries tournaments also helped shape the scene during the early 2010s.
Now, StarLadder is looking to build on that legacy with help from Esports Charts. “We’ve been working with Esports Charts since their founding and have always valued their professionalism and integrity,” said Viacheslav Shcherbakov, who handles Sales and Partnerships at StarLadder.
He added:
“In a market where reliable data is essential, Esports Charts provides honest, transparent numbers, exactly the kind of insights sponsors and stakeholders rely on when assessing the potential reach of a World Championship event.”
The Budapest Major will run from late November into mid-December, with thousands of fans expected to attend in person and hundreds of thousands more tuning in online. Both companies hope this collaboration gives everyone involved—from viewers to investors—a clear picture of what modern esports engagement really looks like.
