Decentraland has confirmed that its 2025 Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) will take place from April 9-12. This year’s event embraces the theme “Infinite Identities,” highlighting how digital wearables and avatar customization are reshaping self-expression in the virtual world.
A key feature of MVFW 2025 is the “MVFW Prize” competition, titled “The Banners We Wear.” This initiative invites students and up-and-coming designers to create digital wearables that reflect themes of identity, resilience, and hope.
The competition offers a prize pool of $15,000 in MANA, with the winner receiving $10,000. The winning designs will be minted as official Decentraland Wearables and showcased during the event, providing a major platform for new creative talent in the digital fashion space.
The event will also feature “Wearables Around the World,” a runway show celebrating digital fashion inspired by global cultures. This segment highlights how virtual fashion breaks physical barriers, allowing designers to share their heritage and artistic vision with a worldwide audience.
Beyond fashion shows and contests, Decentraland encourages 3D creators to develop interactive experiences that align with the event’s theme. Selected projects will receive $2,000 in MANA and a dedicated virtual space in the MVFW Main Plaza, a 2×2 LAND plot.
MVFW 2025 continues to push the boundaries of metaverse fashion, creating a space where technology, culture, and identity converge in an immersive digital experience.
