Riot Games has signed a three-year deal with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF), bringing three of its most popular esports titles to the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 in Riyadh: League of Legends, VALORANT, and Teamfight Tactics (TFT). Along with League of Legends and TFT, which will be returning for another year, VALORANT makes its eagerly awaited premiere at the event.
World-class athletes and teams will compete at the top level for their individual titles at EWC 2025. Elite teams will compete for glory and a sizable prize pool in League of Legends’ upcoming major international tournament. In the meantime, the addition of VALORANT marks an important milestone as it draws some of the most talented players in the game to its largest competition outside of the VCT circuit. TFT will keep giving its best players a dynamic stage while boosting competition with an interesting team-based concept.
The event will further cement EWC as a premier global esports platform, uniting the industry’s most influential games under one banner. Riot Games’ partnership aligns with EWC’s goal of expanding esports’ mainstream appeal by engaging wider audiences and elevating competitive gaming as a top-tier entertainment experience.
Beyond the tournaments, the partnership also includes a commercial agreement between EWCF and Riot Games’ esports divisions—League of Legends Esports, the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT), and the TFT 2025 competitive circuit. This collaboration will feature EWC promotions at major global LAN events, starting with VCT Masters Bangkok on February 20, 2025.

Esports World Cup 2025 will once again take place in Riyadh, bringing together players, teams, and fans from around the globe. The event’s cross-game competition structure will challenge clubs to excel across multiple genres and platforms, offering a life-changing prize pool.
With 23 tournaments already confirmed across 22 games—including FPS, MOBA, battle royale, RTS, and fighting games—EWC 2025 promises to be the largest celebration of competitive gaming yet.
