American Egg Board Launches First-Ever Gaming Activation in Roblox

The American Egg Board (AEB) is the first national commodities checkoff organization to enter the gaming industry with a creative in-game activation on Roblox. Roblox users are invited to explore a virtual obstacle course with egg-themed challenges and prizes in this thrilling new game, called “Tower of Eggs.” The event, which is set inside well-known Roblox games, aims to interest Millennials and Gen Zers by providing them with an entertaining and interactive approach to discover the many uses for eggs.

Running through February 5, 2025, the Tower of Eggs pop-up features a four-level obstacle course where players can unlock and complete recipes like Sausage, Egg and Cheese Roll-Ups and Ramen Carbonara. Players will break open eggs during their run, unleashing power-ups and ingredients that help them move forward. At the end of each challenge, participants will earn exclusive egg-inspired gear for their Roblox avatars, including sunny-side shades, an eggsplorer helmet, and a yolk hero cape.

Collaboration and Audience Engagement

The Tower of Eggs event is a part of the AEB’s ongoing “Meant to be Broken” campaign, which encourages creativity and challenges traditional cooking norms. By tapping into the engaging, fast-paced world of Roblox, the AEB hopes to introduce a new generation of gamers to the many possibilities of eggs as part of their meals. According to Ed Hoffman, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at AEB, “We are excited to invite players to the Tower of Eggs pop-up, where they may be surprised their mission to master a basic cheese quiche is fun, easy and inspires their next meal.”

One special addition to the experience is Sunny Choi, a trailblazer in the sport of egg breaking, who appears as a non-playable character (NPC) to guide players through the Tower. As an “eggficionado,” Choi provides encouraging quips and helps players unlock the full potential of eggs throughout the game.

This activation is the result of a collaboration between the AEB, Talmont, a gaming strategy consultant, and Super League, a leader in immersive content experiences. By entering the gaming space, the AEB aims to connect with players in a meaningful way. Steve Bava, strategy lead at Talmont, notes, “Brands entering the gaming space are engaging in culture, creating experiences and building communities that transcend traditional marketing.”
