I remember the first time I tried building my own virtual space—it felt like trying to assemble furniture without instructions. Yuga Labs must’ve heard folks like me, because they’ve just made it easier than ever to dive into the Otherside Metaverse.
Good to Know
The big news from Yuga Labs, creators of the famous Bored Ape Yacht Club, revolves around their Otherside Metaverse. They just released new AI-powered tools in the Otherside Development Kit (ODK), turning complex virtual building tasks into easy, everyday language commands. Want a bright blue sky or a forest scene? Simply ask Koda Agent—the built-in AI—and it’ll handle the rest immediately. It feels natural, intuitive, and welcoming even for total beginners.
On top of these easy-to-use AI tools, next month’s update includes about 1,000 new digital items from 29 unique Otherdeed Biomes. More options mean creators can get even more imaginative.
Beyond the building enhancements, Yuga Labs is kicking off fresh gaming experiences, starting with Bathroom Blitz, a dynamic 8-versus-8 shooter built entirely with ODK tools. Participation earns you Voyager XP, rewarding your involvement and unlocking future perks.
By the end of July, the revamped Clubhouse will open its doors for up to 500 players at once. It’ll feature direct invitation links—perfect for effortless gatherings and community hangouts.
Then comes August, when Otherside Outbreak goes live. Think of it as a stress test—but way more fun—to check how smoothly Otherside can handle massive player interactions. Of course, participating means earning even more XP, adding a nice incentive to join in.
To boost user-generated content, Otherdeed owners will soon get straightforward design tools. These let you make cool in-game goodies—stickers, graffiti, even emotes. And don’t worry about losing control—creators will still retain full rights and continue earning royalties.
This big leap forward aligns with Yuga Labs’ recent strategy. Earlier in 2025, they sold off NFT collections like Moonbirds and Meebits. The idea was simple: streamline resources to zero in on Otherside and Bored Ape Yacht Club. They’ve already made history with Project Dragon—a multiplayer event packing over 2,100 players onto one server, breaking a Guinness World Record.
With this latest upgrade, Yuga Labs clearly wants everyone, regardless of skill, to dive into Otherside. Will you be joining the fun and creating your virtual masterpiece soon?
