LiquidX, the creative force behind Pixelmon’s revitalization, has officially rebranded to MON Co., marking a strategic evolution for the company. With leadership drawn from industry giants like Ubisoft, EA, Riot Games, and Sony, MON Co. merges LiquidX’s ventures under one unified brand, strengthening its position in gaming and Web3.
MON Co.’s portfolio includes Pixelmon, their flagship IP; MON Protocol, a Web3 arm offering its own suite of products; and the newly announced projects, MON Ventures and Eternal League IP. With these ventures, the company aims to build a thriving community of Web3 gamers. The upcoming closed beta for “Warden’s Ascent,” a mobile turn-based RPG, is set to bolster its gaming presence. MON Co. has also launched its native $MON token, adding a dynamic layer to its ecosystem.
In August 2024, MON Co. showcased its growing lineup at gamescom, the world’s largest gaming convention, attracting over 335,000 attendees. Visitors experienced the company’s core games, including “Warden’s Ascent,” “Warriors of Nova Thera,” and “Eternal League.” These titles are now open for closed beta registration, with a broader release planned for 2025. MON Co. plans to roll out engagement initiatives across key markets, including Asia, aiming to connect Web2 and Web3 gaming communities.
MON Co.’s rebranding consolidates its branding and operations, creating a cohesive identity as it prepares for future growth. The move comes at a pivotal time as “Warden’s Ascent” begins its closed beta phase and makes its presence felt at major gaming events, including Token2049 and others.
Giulio Xiloyannis, Co-founder of MON Co., explained, “As the next step in our group’s evolution, it was time for us to address the fragmentation of our branding and operations landscape that naturally results from this rapid pace of expansion. The change comes at a very opportune time, while our hero product Warden’s Ascent undergoes its first closed Beta test and on the backdrop of Warden’s Ascent beginning its public testing roadshow across various relevant conferences and exhibitions such as Gamescom, Token2049, and more.”
Chris Sirise, Co-founder of MON Co., highlighted the significance of this transition: “The Beta launch of Warden’s Ascent is a perfect time to consolidate our branding efforts under the MON brand, sending a strong signal internally and externally of our renewed focus and commitment towards our gaming and IP products. Our current community and partnerships remain essential for us, and this approach reinforces how we best serve them in the long term.”
The newly branded MON Co. combines development and publishing operations, optimizing resources to support both existing and future projects. Its strategic approach aims to integrate blockchain technology into mainstream gaming, bridging the gap between Web2 and Web3 while appealing to a broader audience.
