Wemix has widened access to its upcoming blockchain MMORPG, Legend of YMIR, by adding both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store to its pre-registration channels. Fans who sign up now can still claim exclusive digital rewards, including Einherjar’s Badge and Muninn’s Sphere—items whose in-game functions remain under wraps for now.
Legend of YMIR comes from Wemade, the South Korean developer already known for blockchain titles such as Mir4 and Night Crows. The company has been aggressive in pushing its global gaming reach, recently investing $7.2 million in Studio Rasa to strengthen its expansion into the console market.
Good to know
To keep anticipation high, Wemix launched the Valhalla Trials back in August alongside the pre-registration campaign. The event is designed as a web3-powered questing system that runs in phases, inviting players to take on challenges beyond the game itself.
The current phase introduces six new missions ranging from inviting friends to creating video content. Each task adds to a player’s Valhalla Points tally, pushing them up a global leaderboard. The stakes are enticing: top participants share a weekly pool of 55,000 YMT tokens, and the best 100 performers earn the title of YMIR Partners. Those Partners then qualify for a shot at additional prizes, including a share of 1 Bitcoin and a lottery pool of extra rewards.
Set for release in 2025, Legend of YMIR takes heavy inspiration from Norse mythology. Players can expect sprawling landscapes, epic PvP and PvE battles, and an economy powered by blockchain. Built with Unreal Engine 5, the game promises cinematic visuals and cross-platform play between PC and mobile.
At its core, the game’s economy revolves around NFTs and gWEMIX, an in-game currency tied to the broader $WEMIX token ecosystem. That connection is designed to create real value for players who invest time in YMIR’s battles, trading, and community-driven events.
