IESF Introduces Asian Esports Championship in Chengdu

The IESF Asian Esports Championship, which is expected to enthrall spectators in Chengdu, China, from September 9–14, 2024, has been announced by the International Esports Federation (IESF). This tournament, which serves as the last regional qualifying event for the 16th World Esports tournament Riyadh (WEC24), offers exciting moments and competitive action.

Together with the China National Cyber Games and Sichuan International Expo Group, Huati Gaming will lead the local organizing committee, guaranteeing a smooth and remarkable event for both players and spectators.

A Showcase of Talent and Diversity

Commencing with an online competition from June 20th to June 30th, the championship will serve as a digital battleground for national champions vying for a coveted spot in the offline event. Athletes and teams representing 42 countries across Asia and Oceania will converge in Chengdu to compete across various titles, including CS2, CS2 Women, DOTA2, MLBB, and MLBB Women. An online qualifier for PUBG MOBILE will also be featured, highlighting the region’s rich talent pool and passion for Esports.

Chengdu’s standing as a major Esports center was praised by Boban Totovski, General Secretary of the IESF, who expressed his happiness at holding the tournament there. Embodying the spirit of Esports competition, the tournament guarantees an event that neither competitors nor spectators will soon forget.

The title will provide up-and-coming talent a chance to shine on a worldwide platform in addition to offering competitive competition. In order to confirm their position as Esports ambassadors, winning teams will have the chance to represent their nations at the esteemed WEC24.
