YGG Play has officially entered third-party game publishing with its first partner title, Gigaverse, a rising onchain RPG built by crypto-native studio GLHF. Until now, YGG Play focused entirely on its own title, LOL Land. This new move marks its start as a broader web3 game publisher—taking on a game that already has strong community traction and early success.
Good to know
YGG Play and GLHF kicked off the partnership with an in-game event that links both LOL Land and Gigaverse. Players can now explore Gigaland, a new LOL Land board inspired by the world of Gigaverse. Meanwhile, Gigaverse players will see LOL Land-themed character skins. The crossover is a limited-time event, and both games run on Abstract, a blockchain tailored to casual web3 users.
The new publishing deal means YGG Play will now provide Gigaverse with growth marketing, player acquisition support, and access to YGG’s global network. According to GLHF founder Dith, the opportunity brings together shared values and speed of execution:
“Gigaverse is already a great game with fun mechanics and great revenue. Partnering with YGG Play means we can reach an even bigger player base and benefit from YGG’s experience and scale.”
The game launched in February 2024 and has already hit over $6 million in revenue—all without venture backing, paid campaigns, or influencer deals. Its early success stemmed from word-of-mouth support and community-driven growth.
Before building Gigaverse, Dith had success with a viral NFT project in 2022 and worked on strategic roles at Proof of Play and Pirate Nation. To fund his next move, GLHF launched an NFT collection called GLHFers, which generated strong demand without a roadmap. That was followed by Gigaverse ROM, a second collection that sold out in 10 minutes and brought in $1 million.
YGG Play sets itself apart in the publishing space by offering smart contract-based revenue sharing. Instead of waiting for delayed off-chain payouts, developers receive real-time, transparent earnings directly onchain.
“Gigaverse is a perfect fit for YGG Play,” said YGG co-founder Gabby Dizon. “I have Gigaverse on one window and LOL Land on another. These games show how web3 gaming is catering not just to gamers but also to web3 natives and Casual Degens.”
To boost awareness, YGG Play and GLHF have also launched a creator-focused campaign featuring streamers who will play both games. Returning content creators include Elisa, a longtime Abstract Chain supporter, and YellowPanther, the 2024 GAM3 Awards Content Creator of the Year. They’ll be joined by newcomers like Iceyyy (host of Gaming Daily), Raiden (Kronicles founder), and Storming (head of Brazil’s Tempest Gaming Guild).
