The Esports World Cup Foundation is inviting fans into the action with the launch of a fantasy experience for EWC 2025. Whether you are a casual viewer or a dedicated esports follower, you now have a chance to compete, make predictions, and manage virtual teams—all while tracking live events across 24 different titles.
Good to know
Fans can now do more than watch the action unfold. With the Fantasy suite now live through the Esports World Cup 2025 Game Hub and mobile app, users around the world can get involved in the tournament in real time. The platform lets you compete with friends, test your knowledge, and back your favorite Clubs and players.
Mike McCabe, COO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, explained the motivation behind the launch:
“With the launch of Fantasy, fans can connect more deeply with the competition – competing with friends, representing their favourite Clubs, and putting their game knowledge to the test. It turns spectators into participants and makes every match matter more.”
Pick’ems allow players to rank their top eight finishers for each event across all 24 games. Fans can use a drag-and-drop tool to submit their picks before each tournament starts. Points are awarded based on how accurate their predictions turn out to be. A $100,000 prize pool is available for top performers.
Meanwhile, the Fantasy League format offers more depth. Focused on VALORANT, Dota 2, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Counter-Strike 2, this format lets users build dream teams with a fictional $100 million budget. They can adjust their roster during the event with transfers, substitutions, and boosters, while player stats update live. Top scorers from the Fantasy League will share another $100,000 in prizes.
Each game in the Fantasy League has its own scoring system, tailored to how that title works in a competitive format.
