Animoca Brands, a major force in the digital property rights and gaming space, celebrated the successful debut of GEN3 Playground, Hong Kong’s first consumer-focused Web3 event. Held at K11 MUSEA on November 1-2, 2024, as part of Blocktober 2024, this event welcomed over 1,000 attendees. Designed as an interactive, carnival-like experience, GEN3 Playground offered Hong Kong’s residents a firsthand look at Web3, gaming, and digital property rights. GEN3 Playground underscored Animoca Brands’ strong commitment to Hong Kong, showcasing the city’s significant role in the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape. Visitors enjoyed immersive experiences with Animoca Brands’ popular projects, including Anichess, Mocaverse, Motorverse, and The Sandbox, along with interactive games from TOWER Ecosystem like Snaky Cat and Crazy Rush Heroes. The event also hosted partnerships with notable brands, including OSL, Apeiron, Anime Foundation, and Bad Egg Co., presenting attendees with the latest in Web3 innovation.
GEN3 Playground also hosted key industry voices, including the Hon. Duncan Chiu, HKSAR Legislative Council Member for Technology & Innovation, and Michael Lau, Bullish’s Senior VP of Business Development and Chairman of Consensus Hong Kong. Animoca Brands’ leadership, represented by Group President Evan Auyang and Chief Business Officer Alan Lau, spoke alongside Web3 pioneers like John Cahill of Galaxy and Kenneth Shek, Mocaverse’s Project Lead.
