Sequence, a leading Web3 game development platform, has announced a new partnership with Aethir. Known for its scalable Decentralized Cloud Infrastructure (DCI) tailored for gaming and AI, Aethir aims to enhance Web3 gaming infrastructure and NFT ownership.
This collaboration merges cloud gaming with blockchain technology. Aethir’s GPU marketplace uses unused processing power, making compute resources more efficient. Paul Thind, Chief Revenue Officer at Aethir, stated, “Sequence is a perfect partner to advance Aethir’s vision in scaling Web3 gaming. Their development platform empowers studios; our decentralized network fuels those creations.”
Aethir’s network is built on Arbitrum, featuring over 2000 NVIDIA H100s and more than 40,000 high-end GPUs. This infrastructure is supported by 75,000 Checker Nodes across 22,000 node operators, reducing costs and improving accessibility for game developers.
The partnership also addresses long-term issues in Web3 gaming, such as maintaining game servers for abandoned projects. Sam Barberie, Head of Strategy and Partnerships at Sequence, said, “This partnership solves a critical challenge for Web3 game developers: access to affordable, high-performance computing power. By integrating Aethir’s technology, Sequence empowers developers to build seamless games with the power to truly captivate players.”
Sequence developers can apply for free Aethir credits, giving them the resources to create engaging Web3 experiences. This partnership opens new avenues for game distribution and ensures players can access their in-game items even if the original developers are no longer involved.
Aethir, backed by Framework Ventures and Animoca Brands, has over 2 million community members and numerous Web3 collaborations. Together, Sequence and Aethir are set to create a robust infrastructure for Web3 gaming, empowering both players and developers.
