Adidas And Xociety Collaborate on New NFT Game Gear Drop

Share

Adidas is stepping further into the digital asset world with a fresh partnership. This time, the sportswear giant has teamed up with the creators of Xociety, a game built on the Sui blockchain, to launch a collection of NFT-based mystery boxes.

Good to know

  • Boxes will be available through the Sui-based NFT platform Tradeport.
  • Each box includes tradable Adidas-branded digital outfits and in-game XCS tokens.
  • Xociety’s next playtest is set for May 15 on the Epic Games Store.

The limited collection rolls out on May 16 and features 2,600 mystery boxes, each priced at $129. These boxes contain Adidas-themed digital outfits designed for avatars in Xociety, a third-person “pop shooter” game. Each outfit includes matching tops, bottoms, and sneakers, tailored to the game’s visual style.

Different levels of rarity are attached to the boxes. The most common ones contain three digital clothing sets, while the rarest—called First tier—hold all eight. Buyers also receive authenticity certificates and XCS tokens, which represent a share in Xociety’s parent company.

Buyers can trade these NFT outfits on secondary markets after the initial sale. Tradeport will host the launch and continue selling the boxes until May 23.

Xociety’s development gained momentum after raising $7.5 million in 2023. The upcoming May 15 playtest is expected to give players a closer look at the game’s mechanics and environment. Xociety will be accessible through the Epic Games Store.

This collaboration is part of a wider trend Adidas started back in 2021. The company first entered the NFT space through a partnership with Bored Ape Yacht Club and later worked with projects like ALTS Fewocious, and Stepn. While Adidas continues exploring Web3, competitors like Nike have scaled back. Nike closed its RTFKT unit at the end of 2024, only three years after acquiring it.
