The highly anticipated Secret of Praetoria expansion’s formal Land Phase 1.5 launch is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th, and the Splinterlands team is getting ready for it. After the first phase was released successfully earlier this year, this is a major milestone.
Players who own land claim tokens can now employ their land plots by staking worker cards and DEC tokens in this future phase. According to the official announcement article, this strategic step will lead to the development of a “small subset of resources” that will be made available starting in Phase 2. The option to stake cards and tokens on land plots gives the game a new dimension of strategic planning and resource management.
In addition to resource management, Phase 1.5 gives players the chance to conduct research on the continent, giving them a leg up on discovering the Secret of Praetoria and its benefits. This stage acts as a link between the original purchase of property and the extensive use of structures and resources.
Although players can get a sneak peek at land and resource management in Phase 1.5, the real action will happen in Phase 2, when buildings and resources will be fully released. With the ability to construct and improve structures on their property plots, the official post offers over thirty distinct types of buildings. Players will have additional options for creativity and strategy in this phase, which is expected to see the development of over 50 distinct resources.
The Splinterlands team published the Land Phase 1.5 whitepaper earlier this year, which included extensive information regarding the next phase of the expansion. For crucial information, players are urged to examine the Land Phase 1.5 Preflight Checklist. Although several features are still under construction, Splinterlands fans can expect an exciting and dynamic experience with the upcoming debut.
