The parent company of TikTok, BytePlus, said that it has partnered with Mysten Labs to venture into the Web3 space. BytePlus announced on April 17 that it will be incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into the Sui blockchain ecosystem in order to improve its functionality.
BytePlus wants to strengthen the Sui ecosystem by utilizing its knowledge of artificial intelligence and data warehousing, with a particular emphasis on the SocialFi project and Web3 gaming. The partnership will combine Sui’s full-node data with ByteHouse, a cloud-native data warehouse, with the goal of improving analytical capabilities and enabling real-time data processing.
Evan Cheng, the co-founder and CEO of Mysten Labs, expressed optimism about the integration, highlighting its potential to revolutionize user experience in Web3 gaming platforms and SocialFi projects.
ByteDance, BytePlus’s parent company, has been expanding its presence in the blockchain domain. Earlier ventures into virtual banking and partnerships with Chinese media groups underscore its interest in digital finance and blockchain technologies.
Mysten Labs, on the other hand, introduced Sui, a layer-1 network, in March 2022, with recent collaborations accelerating its development. Collaborations with educational institutions and stock exchanges demonstrate the commitment to blockchain innovation.
With this partnership, BytePlus and Mysten Labs aim to drive innovation in the Web3 gaming space, leveraging AI technologies to enhance user experiences and functionalities.
