BLAST and KRAFTON Expand PUBG Esports with PEC and PAS 2025

Share

The PUBG EMEA Championship (PEC) and PUBG Americas Series (PAS), two prestigious PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS tournaments, are returning thanks to a partnership between esports entertainment business BLAST and international game producer KRAFTON. These regional competitions, which are in their third year in a row, will once again feature elite competition in the battle royale esports arena.

BLAST, which is renowned for its excellent production and proficiency in organizing esports competitions, will collaborate closely with KRAFTON to provide players and viewers with an exciting and competitive experience. Teams will compete for supremacy and the opportunity to compete globally in the tournaments, which will have a $50,000 prize pool for both the Americas and EMEA zones.

The action begins with Open Qualifiers on March 3, leading to the Group Stage from March 14-16, the Last Chance phase on March 22-23, and the Grand Finals from March 28-30. These stages will be officially broadcasted, ensuring fans worldwide can follow the intense competition.

New PUBG Players Tour and Growing Viewership

KRAFTON is launching the PUBG Players Tour (PPT), a grassroots competition run by BLAST, in addition to PEC and PAS. Since PGI 2018, this is the first third-person perspective (TPP) PUBG esports tournament to receive official support, giving players in the Americas and EMEA regions more chances to compete.

Scott Appleton, Senior Esports Commercial Manager for BLAST, expressed excitement about the partnership: “At BLAST we pride ourselves on working with the best game publishers and most popular esports titles. Adding KRAFTON and PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS further expands and strengthens our portfolio of ecosystems. We can’t wait to showcase the best PUBG esports’ teams across Europe and the Americas this year and help further grow the competitive scene in the future.”

KRAFTON’s Director of Esports EMEA & Americas, Atila Yesildag, shared a similar sentiment: “We are delighted to partner with BLAST to elevate PUBG Esports in 2025. As we embark on another year of thrilling competition, players and fans can look forward to an action-packed season that builds on the strong foundations of PEC and PAS while exploring exciting new territory with PPT.”

PUBG Esports has been on a steady rise, with 2024 viewership exceeding previous years. Last year’s PUBG Nations Cup and PUBG Global Championship attracted peak concurrent viewers of 510,977 and 493,890, respectively—ranking among the highest in the game’s history.

Fans can catch all the action on YouTube and Twitch, as PUBG Esports continues to grow and evolve in 2025.
