PAGCor Announces Lawyer Wilma Eisma as President and COO

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCor) officially welcomed attorney Wilma Eisma as its new president and chief operating officer on this historic day. The appointment ceremony, held in Malacanang and chaired by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, was a major turning point for the well-known gaming organization.

PAGCor Chairman Alejandro Tengco expressed delight at Eisma’s appointment, affirming her credentials and predicting her valuable contributions. “We are happy to welcome Atty. Wilma Eisma as PAGCor’s new President and Chief Operating Officer,” stated Tengco. “We know she will be a great asset and her vast experience in both the government and private sectors will surely be put to good use here.”

Historic Inauguration

Following her oath-taking ceremony at Malacanang, Eisma wasted no time in assuming her duties, participating in her first PAGCor board meeting later that afternoon. Her appointment as the first woman President and Chief Operating Officer of PAGCor marks a significant milestone in the organization’s history.

With a legal background, Eisma brings a wealth of experience to her new role. A graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, she previously served on the Board of Directors of the Development Bank of the Philippines. Notably, Eisma made history as the first woman Administrator and Chairman of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

Eisma’s career path took her into the commercial sector, where she worked in executive roles at PMFTC Incorporated, the Philip Morris International subsidiary in the Philippines. Her varied skill set was further enhanced by her service in the House of Representatives and the Department of Trade and Industry.

Atty. Juanito Sanosa Jr. offered his resignation as PAGCor President and Chief Operating Officer in January, and Eisma takes over. PAGCor looks forward to Eisma’s skilled leadership to carry on the organization’s outstanding tradition.
