BGaming has signed Júlio César for a new football-led content deal tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The partnership brings a branded casual game and gives BGaming a high-profile link to one of the best-known names in Brazilian football.
Good to Know
BGaming has linked up with former Brazil goalkeeper Júlio César as part of a new campaign ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The agreement was revealed at SiGMA South America in Brazil, where Júlio César signed the contract at the BGaming booth during a public ceremony.
The activation pulled in more than 200 visitors and included an autograph and photo session that drew partners, media, and fans.
Júlio César brings major football weight to the deal. Across his career, he played at three World Cups, won 87 caps for Brazil, and collected three major international trophies. At club level, he was also part of the Inter Milan squad that completed a treble under José Mourinho.
The partnership will feed directly into product. BGaming is preparing to release Penalty Duel with Júlio César, a football themed casual game where players step in as the kicker and try to hit multipliers by scoring goals. The format leans on timing and precision and is built as a quick football play experience.
Two core features sit at the centre of the game. The Chance feature raises the likelihood of triggering the Golden Ball, which boosts scoring chances. The Buy Bonus feature opens a special round where players take part in a run of penalty kicks with Júlio César on a Rio beach backdrop.
The game is scheduled to go live in June, giving BGaming a football product in market just before the 2026 FIFA World Cup build-up picks up.
Kate Pateiko, CMO at BGaming, said:
“Júlio César is a true legend of Brazilian football, and we are proud to welcome him as a partner. This collaboration goes far beyond a traditional endorsement, it’s about integrating his legacy directly into the product experience.”
