Atlantic City records growth for third consecutive year

Atlantic City has registered third straight year of growth after posting positive inclination of growth in the month of November.

New Jersey’s gambling regulator released the statistics which shows the city’s nine casinos that generated revenue of just below $224m in November, 7.1% better than November 2018 and 10.7% better than October 2019’s result.

In November’s slot machine win earned 5.7% year-on-year to $156.8m while gambling table revenue rose 10.5% to $67.1m. The AC’s total casino gaming win for the month was up 16.5% to $288.6m after increased revenue from online gambling and $49.1m from online gambling and $15.5m from sports betting.

The slots and table win for year-to-date already exceeds 2018’s full –year brick-and-mortar and now it is up from 7.7% to $2.48b. AC will officially post its third consecutive year of positive growth revenue, once December’s figures are in.

After counting the online gambling and betting verticals, the overall AC’s gambling rose 15.7% to $3.02 in the first 11 months of 2019 versus $2.86 in all of 2018. The progress was also shown in terms of loss. This year only three AC casino reported negative growth in the month of November, where Resort Casino Hotel suffers the biggest loss i.e., $13.9m, -15.5%. The Tropicana dipped 6.9% to $23.65 while Bally’s was off 6.7% to $13.4m.

The Boragata topped all arriver as always with a little more than twice the sum gained by runner-up Ceasars. Ceasers has huge solid month in terms of growth, rising 27% to $28.3m. Harrah’s landed on third position with $25.6m (+0.9%) while the Hard Rock Atlantic City were placed fifth with $23.5m despite a 9.3% overall improvement.

However, the biggest percentage growth came from Ocean Casino Resort, which rose higher than two third to $19.5m. Whereas the Golden Nugget also earned over $17m in November, but it was nearly $2m below from last month.
