The CEO of ZEAL Network SE, Dr. Helmut Becker, has declared his intention to retire on January 31, 2026, when his contract expires. Becker wants to pursue other business ventures after serving on the company's Executive Board for more than 12 years and as CEO for more than 10 years. To ensure a seamless transition for his successor, he will continue to be dedicated to his duties until the end of his tenure. Reflecting on his tenure, Becker expressed confidence in ZEAL’s future growth. “ZEAL is in an excellent position to continue to grow in the future. After almost ten years as CEO, I have decided that now is the right time to pursue my own entrepreneurial endeavours,” he said. Becker highlighted his appreciation for the company’s culture of innovation, customer focus, and teamwork. Supervisory Board Praises Becker’s Contributions Peter Steiner, Chairman of ZEAL’s Supervisory Board, expressed regret over Becker’s decision, acknowledging his transformative leadership. “Helmut Becker has played a decisive role in taking ZEAL’s business development to a new level,” Steiner stated. He credited Becker for expanding ZEAL’s market leadership, broadening its customer base, and driving product innovation. During his time as CEO, Becker oversaw significant milestones, including ZEAL’s acquisition of LOTTO24 AG and its return to the German market. He also introduced key offerings such as freiheit+, Games, and Traumhausverlosung. Becker joined ZEAL’s Executive Board in 2015 after serving as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for two years. Prior to that, he was on the company’s Supervisory Board for two years. His extensive experience also includes leadership roles at XING AG as Chief Commercial Officer and management positions at eBay Germany. Becker’s strategic vision and operational expertise have been instrumental in ZEAL’s growth. The Supervisory Board has begun the search for a new CEO, with a structured succession process already in motion. Becker’s departure will mark the end of a transformative era for ZEAL, but the company remains well-positioned for continued growth under new leadership.
