Earn MEOW Points in Nyan Heroes Demo on Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store recently unveiled the early access demo of Nyan Heroes, a cat-themed hero shooter that incorporates blockchain technology through Solana. This game combines the engaging gameplay mechanics of popular shooters like Overwatch and Titanfall with a unique twist: players control mech suits piloted by cats and have the opportunity to earn cryptocurrency rewards.

Described by its developer, 9 Lives Interactive, as a “pre-alpha demo,” Nyan Heroes is now available for PC players to download and explore until April 9. This early access period offers an innovative incentive system where players can accumulate MEOW points. These points are crucial for participating in the forthcoming airdrop of NYAN tokens on the Solana blockchain.

In anticipation of the game’s launch, 9 Lives Interactive initiated a play-to-airdrop campaign, rewarding players for engaging with the game on social media and for possessing the game’s NFTs, which are minted on Solana. With the demo’s release on the Epic Games Store, players now have the added avenue of earning MEOW points by engaging in the game directly. By completing various in-game missions and tasks, ranging from securing a first win of the day to healing teammates and logging significant play hours, players can significantly boost their MEOW point balance. These missions are organized into daily, weekly, and special event categories, each offering distinct challenges and rewards.

Upon the conclusion of the play-to-airdrop campaign, 9 Lives Interactive plans to distribute the NYAN token in an airdrop to participants, with the amount received corresponding to the MEOW points they’ve accrued throughout the campaign.

Moreover, Nyan Heroes is designed to be accessible to all players, regardless of their familiarity with cryptocurrency. While the game features its in-game premium currency for purchasing traditional items, it also introduces “awakened” items. These special items are tokenized and tradeable, offering an entry point into the game’s blockchain elements for interested players.

A little over a week ago, 9 Lives announced that it had successfully raised $3 million for the launch of the game.
