Steve Wynn wants to hold to one of the three casino licenses of Everett, Massachusetts, created in 2011 under the gambling law. The negotiation includes an advanced payment of $30 million to the city and a $25 million annual payment once the business starts running.
As part of the negotiation, Wynn has promised to provide 4,000 jobs to city residents, open a public access to the Mystic River, improve streets and transportation issues.
If the deal is approved on Saturday’s referendum, Wynn will win a place in the Boston market and the city will experience an economic upgrade.
