Revenues of Atlantic City casinos drop 45 percent

During the second quarter of 2013, 12 casinos in Atlantic City experienced a drop in revenues of 45 percent, according to state regulators. Figures showed that the casinos made just over $65 million in profits during this period when last year, the casinos made nearly $118 during the same period.

Figures released by the State Division of Gaming Enforcement, showed that Tropicana Casino’s profits increased 28 percent to $12.6 million; Caesars Atlantic City increased from $20.6 million last year to $24.2 million this year while four of the 12 casinos experienced losses in April, May and June.
