Pennsylvania just wrapped up its 2024/2025 fiscal year with a new gaming revenue record. Total gaming income reached nearly $6.4 billion, marking an 8.5% increase compared to the previous year, according to the latest numbers from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
Both online gambling and traditional slot machines were the top earners this time around. The numbers show a growing appetite for mobile play among players across the state.

Online platforms brought in $2.5 billion, which was enough to put them ahead of retail slots, although just barely. Land-based slots brought in $2.4 billion, thanks to a strong 27.1% year-over-year boost. The tight race between the two shows how mobile play is gaining ground but has not replaced in-person action just yet.
Parx Casino pulled in the most from retail slots—$377.7 million—up slightly from the year before. Wind Creek Bethlehem followed with $281.8 million, and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh added $259.4 million, although both properties saw small declines compared to last year.
On the iGaming side, Hollywood Casino at Penn National dominated with $935.8 million in revenue, up 24.6% year-over-year. Valley Forge Casino Resort was not far behind, pulling in $675.2 million, a 39.9% jump. Rivers Casino Philadelphia also made it past the $200 million mark, generating $411.7 million, up 15.4%.
Other iGaming standouts included Harrah’s Philadelphia with $116 million and Golden Nugget with $79.7 million. Golden Nugget had the biggest growth spurt here, more than doubling its total from the previous year with a 102.9% increase.
Retail table games did not share the same success. The category dropped 3% year-over-year, bringing in $928.9 million. Top earners like Wind Creek Bethlehem, Parx Casino, and Live! Casino Philadelphia all reported declines. Wind Creek brought in $248 million, down 1.7%. Parx hit $196.4 million, down 1.3%, and Live! Casino Philadelphia took in $104.2 million, down 3.4%.
Sports betting saw small gains. The statewide handle climbed to $8.7 billion, with total revenue landing at $487.6 million, up just 0.2%. Valley Forge Casino Resort led the pack with $250.3 million, while Hollywood Casino at the Meadows was the only other property to break the $20 million mark, though it posted a 4.3% decline to finish at $131.2 million.
Meanwhile, video gaming terminals (VGTs) brought in $41.4 million, up 0.7%, and fantasy contests dropped slightly to $19.1 million, a 0.7% decrease from the year before.
