Jackpocket, a lottery courier app acquired by DraftKings for $750 million in 2024, confirmed the win earlier this week. The lucky player managed to overcome staggering odds to claim the grand prize on Tuesday.

How Jackpocket works

For those unfamiliar, Jackpocket allows players to purchase official state and national lottery tickets from their phone or computer. Once an order is placed, a physical ticket is purchased on the customer’s behalf, and winnings are credited directly to their account.

Currently, 17 states authorize Jackpocket and similar online lottery services. That reach has helped produce some big wins — more than $900 million in prizes since Jackpocket launched in 2013.
