The contributions to the Education Trust Fund from casino gaming in July 2024 were $52 million, a decrease of 1.4% compared to July 2023. Beyond supporting education, casino gaming revenues also aid the communities and jurisdictions hosting the casinos, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority-, and women-owned businesses.

Maryland’s casino industry faces challenges, as reflected in these financial results. However, the revenue generated continues to play a crucial role in supporting various state programs and local initiatives.
