Philippines gaming regulator PAGCOR is allowing Tiger Resort, Leisure & Entertainment Inc (TRLEI) to operate online gaming operations from its integrated resort Okada Manila. Okada resorts is the biggest casino in the Philippines
TRLEI has received a letter from PAGCOR dated 19 April “approving entry into online gaming for table games and electric gaming machines as the first among the four integrated resorts comprising Entertainment City in Metro Manila.” This according to a filing by the parent company Universal Entertainment Corp,
The gaming corporation is looking to launch its online operations as soon as it completes test simulations and clears all necessary conditions. This includes confirmation of compliance with casino and AML regulations and payment of license fees.
One of the requirements of PAGCOR is to have a transparent system in that allows the prevention of minors and banned persons from playing.
In response to the news, Universal Entertainment Corp commented:
“The group considers this online gaming as the first step, and will continue to develop online sports betting gaming using its proprietary technology.”
