Share

Kansas saw an increase in sports betting activity in February, with total wagers reaching $216.2 million. The figure reflects a 6.5% rise compared to the same month in 2024.

Most of the betting action took place online, with digital platforms accounting for more than $209 million of the total handle. Boot Hill Casino, through its partnership with DraftKings, led online wagering, recording nearly $88.9 million in bets. Kansas Star Casino, which operates with FanDuel, followed with over $67 million in online wagers.

Retail betting contributed $6.6 million, with four land-based casinos—Kansas Star Casino, Hollywood Casino, Boot Hill Casino, and Kansas Crossing Casino—handling in-person wagers. Hollywood Casino, working with BetMGM, led retail sports betting for the month, generating nearly $4.6 million in bets.

Revenue from sports betting reached $23.9 million in February. Online betting brought in $21.8 million, while retail locations generated more than $2.1 million. The state collected almost $2.4 million in tax revenue, with online platforms contributing $2.2 million and retail sportsbooks adding $0.2 million.

Kansas continues to see steady growth in sports betting, with online platforms playing a key role in driving the numbers higher. With strong performances from operators like DraftKings and FanDuel, the market remains competitive as wagering activity remains strong.
