In a recent interview with News 12’s reporter Tara Rosenblum, Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment, shed light on the company’s ambitious strategy for a prospective casino in Times Square. The envisioned Caesars Palace Times Square will inhabit an existing 52-story high-rise, boasting around 250,000 square feet of gaming space and accommodating 950 hotel rooms.

He further detailed the company’s vision of posh terraces equipped with food and beverage bars, offering stunning views over Times Square. When pressed about the expected revenue from the venture, Reeg refrained from pinpointing an exact figure but emphasized the company’s substantial tax contributions through sports betting, which already surpass $100 million in New York. He is optimistic that the casino’s revenue would significantly surpass these numbers.
The interview also delved into Caesars’ recent collaboration with renowned rapper Jay Z. Reeg stated that the artist’s celebrity status makes him an ideal partner for their New York venture.
Responding to critics who worry about increased congestion and safety concerns in the bustling Times Square, Reeg assured that comprehensive safety and traffic strategies are already in place, indicating a potential reduction in congestion compared to the present situation.
